CHECKLISTS

Morning stuff:

Reset stern lines for loading, turn on lights if needed

Load crew tanks, set up crew gear completely, stow excess crew gear

Vacuum quickly if needed

Rinse deck if needed

Fill water tank, water buckets, water jugs

Unload trailer, load specific tanks if present

Check waters, put ice in cooler

Pull anchor back if needed

Assist diver loading (as needed)

Paperwork (trip sheet, releases)

Check bungees

After generator started, unplug shore power

Close transom door

After all are loaded and ready to go, untie bow lines

Untie stern lines, hold in place until Bob motors forward

If foggy or dark, one needs to go to bridge to assist navigation

Briefing for new-to-us divers: complete before the no-wake zone

Anchoring:

Diver: Ask passengers to hush if they're too loud while maneuvering

Bow: indicate where the line is going and keep eyes on diver bubbles.

Watch for current and adjust diver location as needed

Maintain enough line for the diver while keeping slack out of line & line out of props

Watch for balloon, signal when sighted

Tie off anchor line accordingly

Maintain watch for additional balloons

Step back to pick up down lines, attach down lines

Before dives:

Assist only as needed

Watch for safety concerns, advise Bob if noticed

Do not add items to diver gear unless they request it

Do not repair, fix or loan gear to divers without Bob's involvement

Check air correctly and/or ask diver about air status

Lightly assist to the transom door if needed

Observe divers as they enter and for initial descent

Constantly observe the surface above the wreck and down current

After dives:

Lightly assist & remove fins as needed,

Notify Bob of any diver concerns, injury or complaint

Ensure the head is pumped out

Upon return to the dock stuff:

Have crew gear ready to stow soon after arrival

Attach stern lines for unloading, attach bow lines

Plug in shore power

Get the tanks up on the dock and rinse (divers should participate)

Load rinsed tanks into trailer & secure (ask divers to assist)

Rinse boat as needed

Fill water tank

Dump & refill water buckets/jugs as needed

Stow crew gear

Remove trash if needed

Get off the boat!
